 Product Description

This is a set of 4 X Class Motor Mounts (Same motor mount design that is used with the Carolina XC Frame).  Motor Mounts are chamfered on one side.

Qty of 4 Sets of Motor Mounts (top and bottom plate - 8 total parts)

Options to add the following

  • Thickness - Choice of 2.00mm, 2.50mm or 3.00mm Plate Thickness
  • Screws - Qty 32 12mm X M3 Screws in Black or Silver
  • Standoffs - Qty 16 5mm X  35mm Standoffs in various colors
  • 3D Printed Clamps - Qty 8 Regular Clamp Parts, Qty 8 Outer Clamps, Total of 16 3D printed parts.

 If you want to print your own 3D Printed clamps you can download the files here.  You will just need to print 8 of the regular clamps and 8 of the Outer clamps for the applicable arm type.

    I actually wrote a review for these plates on the Free download 3D parts. So here is review for the motor mounts again. Over all, this is the best DYI kit I could ever ask for. I saved lots of money by 3D printing my own clamps. I did everything they suggest for the prints and it worked out perfectly. I like how the STL files included many options to choose from and the one I needed worked flawlessly (21.5mm). Before I got the motor mounts, I could not understand the hardware options when I was placing the order. Why are the screws so short, only 12mm long (I was using 40mm M3 screws with my original clamps)? Why do you need 35mm standoff? I finially understood those options after 3D printing the tube clamps (the 3d files are free to download). Instead of using one long screw that goes form the top of the plate to the bottom, it uses a standoff between the 2 clamps and shorter screw on both ends. Then I was kind of worried that the TPU would be too soft and not clamp tight enough. No need to be worried because the clamps grips tube very well and it might help reduce the vibrations from the motors too. One last thing about the carbon fiber plate is the chamfered edges, but only on one side. It saves me to trouble in filing the edges myself.
