 Product Description

This is a Sony Style Board Cam Mount.  This goes over the standoffs or your frames supported Nylon Hex standoffs and is available in 10,15 and 20 Degree angles. To mount this, remove the lens from the capture housing, place capture housing into the back of the mount, screw lens back into housing through the mount, focus camera, tighten lock ring. There are notches in the back of the mount to keep the camera from turning. Board is clear of top and bottom plate by 1-3mm (dependent on which angle you are using.) This item was designed by pLaStIc sPiDeR and a portion of this sale will go directly to him!

Now available in 30 Degrees for the ZMR250.  Note that some board cam lenses may cause the top plate to be in view at 30 degrees.  If you find this is the case you will need to remove some material from the leading edge of the top plate.

Please note that these Board Cam mounts are designed for a 15.2mm in diameter capture housing.  The ABS version of this mount will require slight modification for some clones that have a 16mm diameter capture housing.  The TPU version will fit both types.

  1. Great mount!

Posted by Eric Warren on Jun 28th 2016

Using this with a Sony 600TVL board camera on ZMR250, started with the 15-degree and now am up to the 30-degree. In neon orange it really helps me determine the front of the quad while flying LOS.

The camera has to be inserted through the back of the mount, then the lens has to be threaded through the mount into the camera, and this is very tricky to do and get the threads aligned perfectly. If you change your lenses often, you might want to look at a different mount. Also, would like to see a way to lock the camera to the mount, as the screw-hole on the lens socket is covered up by this mount. Maybe a small divot directly above the hole so that the user would know where to drill a tiny hole for the screw would be useful.

  2. good but..

Holes for standoffs were undersized and tapered. I heated up the standoffs and forced them through for an extremely tight fit.

  3. Works perfect! Great design!

I ordered the 20* (not brave enough for the 30* yet ;) ) TPU version. The TPU gives just enough that I hope it will allow for forgiveness in a crash (I did mention I wasn't brave enough yet ;) ). It fits over the hex spacers from www.getfpv.com with just enough snugness so I'm sure it won't move than a small amount of give.

When I ordered mine I didn't think about it, but this mount holds the camera with the adjuster nut that comes on the camera. I had lost mine :(. I found a replacement at www.surveilzone.com for $1.01 shipped.

  4. So simple for my setup...

I ordered a 15 degree mount for my Sony cam on my Blackout and it was delivered as described. There's a bit of play between the alum standoffs and the inside diameter of the mount, but I am otherwise satisfied and would buy again.

  5. Great quality, perfect fit!

This is exactly what I needed for my ZMR frame! The different angle selections are also a nice choice.
